the L17 is a good light but when u add a 25.00 battery your up to near 90 bucks lumintop GTA or the acebeam E10 will do the same thing about the same range for half the price. only advantage with the L17 is it has a tad bigger beam and a bigger light than the GTA and E10 maybe more run time due to battery size. most throwers only run for 2 -4 min before turbo goes away then ur on high till cooldown

Nice light, I mostly prefer throwers, and this works nicely. This is a good value.

I have had one in simple red for years. It is there for a fast discreet light to show my 1911 .45 ACP pistol and my 12 gauge riot shotgun to me w/o anyone seeing my light. It gets nightly peaceful use to light up my specific medicine bottles inside my ''medicine ammo can.'' Some of my disability meds are dangerous if the wrong one taken at the wrong time. I have a huge amount of various tactical lights, handheld and weapon mounted with my personal designs from experience. This Acebeam light in red gets used more than any other. As for tactical, having stopped a midnight home invasion once, you don't need to be fumbling around when the noise of 3+ thugs prying the front door luckily wakes you up from a deep sleep! Simple one push tailgate switch and red light is there! Stay safe!

I've owned several different brands of tactical lights but when I saw this light on Battery Junction's Facebook page and read the specs on it, I had to have it, so I purchased it from Battery Junction and I am very impressed with it, especially the brightness of the turbo mode. I have this tactical light mounted on my Colt AR-15 and use it for hunting coyotes and wild hogs and other predators, this light holds a tight pattern that's perfect for looking through my scope for long range shots and it'll reach out further than the rifle round .223/5.56 can reach, you won't be disappointed, just be sure to purchase some extra high drain rechargable lithium batteries for it if you use the light for long periods of times. I'm gonna get the L17 Green tactical light in the near future. I'm really impressed with all the products Battery Junction has to offer, even with the choice of the product Brands. Purchased the light in green. Although the green light is pale, this is a very powerful compact search light. I was not disappointed in its performance. Has a really condensed powerful beam that throws a good distance. Outperforms most of my white beam lights.

Love the silent switch. I wanted the red, reaches a long way for red. A narrow beam that does not wake the whole area up, ( good for researching bigfoot or the like) just what you want to look at. I bet the white version throws like crazy. Seems like excellent quality. 5 stars.

Just received this one yesterday and I cannot believe how far out it reaches! And on the lowest lumen setting on top of that! Lastly you get the fantastic build quality of all the Acebeam flashlights. Buy it.....you will not be disappointed!
