Twice the capacity
September 27, 2022
I bought this for my JetBeam PA12. The capacity is impressive compared to other 14500’s and it runs it brighter than a standard AA.

Long lasting battery from a trusted company. Added bonus of having the ability to charge the battery without a charger.

Replace alkalines for LED
November 28, 2020
I have a LED "firefly" light that runs on one AA. An Enloop at full charge is below the threashold. An alkaline was giving me 10 or 11 eleven nights (it has a light sensor) in June. These would give me 5 nights. With a longer nights it is between 3 and 4 nights. They charge easily and 5 months of use have certianly paid for themselfs.

I use a AA/14500 headlamp frequently and had hoped to combine higher mAh with Li cold weather tolerance. However, this battery won't power the light on high. 30 seconds after power on at high, the light blinks and every 10 or so seconds therafter. It works on lower levels but I need the high level. I had thought the high level would just be less bright a la using an alkaline, but probably something with the light circuitry and the battery circuitry aren't playing nice at high draw. I will try this in the outdoor thermometer sensor this winter and hopefully be able to stop buying Li primaries for that device.

Only works in ones that take protected
December 31, 2019
It does a great job in the flashlights I have that it does work in. But just make sure if you buy it that your flashlights take protected cells otherwise it most likely wont work. But I am very happy with my purchase and will buy more if needed.

Incredible battery

These things are awesome, powerful, long-lasting, easy to recharge. Too bad it took this long to come out with. I run one in my Fenix E12, great combo!

A great mistake!!!

I purchased 2 of these batteries when I was in a hurry. I saw 14500 and just thought they would be 3.7 volt batteries that all my AA lights require to get full power from them. When they arrived at first I was disappointed and I was going to return them. I already had 24 AA rechargeable batteries laying around not being used because when I need them they are always discharged and they are only 1.3 volt each. Anyway Rather then just send them back I decided to give them a try and I am very glad I did. They are much much better than the old rechargeable batteries I had. They are a full 1.5 volt and they do not self drain like my old batteries did. I have been using them for several months now and I am planning on purchasing more of them. I was going to order a lot more however after reading one of the other reviews saying they do not work well in am radios. I may only purchase 4 or 8 more. I have been using them in controllers, computer mouse as well as in several other devices and I have been very happy with them. My only fear now is the kid grabbing the 3.7 volt 14500 batteries and sticking them in the Wii remotes and frying them. Other wise they seem to work very well in everything I have tried them in. when i order more of them eventually I will try them in an 11 meter am radio and see if they work or not before purchasing even more of them. I have been very happy with them so far and I would recommend them for most AA battery uses.

EMI From Internal DC-DC Converter
June 16, 2019
I borrowed 2 of these from a friend. They are nicely made like all Fenix products. They work great in flashlights but if you install them in a portable AM/FM radio the internal DC-DC converter generates noise/EMI & prevents AM reception. FM works fine since it is not susceptible to EMI. The AM band, however, is all noise with no reception.

Solid battery

I like the 1600 mAh on this battery, but would caution that it is only 1.5v for those of you comparing. Rechargeable micro-usb port batteries are nice and I am changing out all of my AA rechargeable for the most part with micro-usb port batteries. Expensive but a good choice for flashlights and other electronics that can't handle 3.7v.

Gotta love a battery with built-in USB charge port! I got this for my travel kit, so I don't have to pack a battery charger. At first I thought having the charger built in would take away from the battery's capacity, but this does not see to be the case. Great product, with Fenix quality!

Good Concept.

Bought 2 of these to use in a TeraLUX Pro1 single aa flashlight. This diameter is a few thousands larger in diameter than reg alkaline and rechargeable nimh batteries. Unable to use in the aa light of my choice because of this. A better option is the Ultimate Lithium AA batteries (non rechargeable).
Prosconvenient rechargeable with micro usb charging.
ConsWarning. rechargeable with micro usb charging only. Do not try to use any other type of charger, even a Li-ion charger can not be used.
