Very bright for the size and good throw and spill, but I don't know if it's the size of the on/off button or if it's overly sensitive but I've found it turns on in my pocket even with the clip positioned over the button as much as possible. Kinda wished I would of went with the Olight instead.
Compact and Power
December 2, 2019
Bought this light for the magnet in the tailcap, felt it would be useful when working under the hood of my car, Which actually came to be one night driving home from work, as I had unfortunate radiator hose rip, this Jetbeam flashlight stuck on the underside of my hood and allowed me to clearly assess my issue hands free. Being compact as it is, also carries well in my suit jacket breast pocket with no profiling or added weight. Good buy...APD

I really liked the look of the blue ring under the bezel, but, unfortunately, mine arrived with a black ring. Not that it matters; that's just cosmetics. The light works as advertised. I found that if I rotated the clip so that the battery faces forward (90 deg from the clip), the light does not turn on in my pocket. Your mileage may vary. I do like that the pocket clip is mounted all the way 'round the light and not just clipped on - those clip-on clips fall off in my pocket. It's a little on the large side - quite a bit larger than my 4Sevens Mini MkII, but I appreciate the magnetic tailcap, improved captive pocket clip, easy interface (that doesn't require scrolling through strobe mode), and battery charging USB port (though I wonder how waterproof that is). I've already managed to scuff off some of the anodizing, but shame on me for carrying 2 metal lights in my pocket all day. This will be my EDC for awhile, and I think I'll plan on picking up a spare CR123A/16340.

Spotlight in my palm.

The E20R puts out an incredible amount of light. It is not the same as a $5.00 led flashlight. I bought 2 of them from Batteryjunction.com, and may purchase more of them from there. The price was good and they sent them right out. I am a former Marine and a current truck driver, I know the value and importance of a good and reliable flashlight. I would highly recommend the E20R and purchasing it through BatteryJunction.com.

Works with 18350!
January 6, 2019
Bought one of these to compare with the Nitecore EC11. It works great with an 18350 and has a metal button for changing modes. But its mode program is kind of unusual...similar to a Klarus. Still a nice LED for EDC. Bill C
Full Featured, Compact, Bright; Good Value!

The E20R is a well-made and reasonably priced EDC light with plenty of features. The included rechargeable battery and magnetic tail cap are nice extras. The light is very compact and light in the pocket. It would be great if it had a bit longer run-time on brighter levels but this is the only attribute that detracts minimally from this good value vs. features flashlight recommended!

small and bright
December 21, 2018
This flashlight is very small and very bright at the same time. I bought these for my wife and sister so that they could keep them in their purses if they want. I have only used one for a few minutes but what I notice so far is they are nice in the hand with a convenient side button. The brightness is surprising for how small the light it. I did notice the body gets pretty warm in just a couple of minutes, not burning but very warm. All and all I'm very impressed with this flashlight, I have not seen this small of light put out nearly 1000 lumens before.
Great light, terrible switch
December 8, 2017
I was really excited to purchase this light. I waited for weeks for it to become available again. It had the size, the output, the features (rechargable) and the price I was looking for. It's a great light but it has one terrible, fatal flaw that keeps me from EDC'ing it. THE SWITCH! Whoever setup the programming for the switch function ought to be flogged (or worse) and fired. You simply tap it once to turn it on and hold it down to turn it off. If you put it in your pocket, some kind of contact will happen that "taps" the switch and turns it on. You inevitably walk around with your pocket lit up all the time or you go to use the light and it's now dead because it was on in your pocket and you didn't notice it while it was on. If only there was a way to reprogram the switch function to force you to hold it down for 2 seconds in order to turn it on. It would then be a viable option. I would send it back if I could but I'm outside the return window so it will sit in a drawer and get used around the house when needed. The switch function absolutely ruins this otherwise great light! I'd give it 2.5 stars if possible but dropped it to 2 because it's advertised as an EDC light and I can't use it for that purpose.
Prosgreat output, great size, rechargeable.
ConsTerrible switch function. Always turns on in your pocket.
Powerful BUT ...
November 24, 2017
There is no denying this flashlight√Ę‚‚¨‚"Ęs power:size ratio, it is INCREDIBLY bright. The convenience of built-in USB charging is also great. BUT #1; I bought this for EDC and the very first time I carried it, a short while later, I noticed a burning sensation coming from my pants pocket. (Get your minds out of the gutter ;)) Yup, unless I√Ę‚‚¨‚"Ęm blind, and that√Ę‚‚¨‚"Ęs been known to happen, there is nothing in the manual re a safety lock-out and the switch is WAY too sensitive. Don√Ę‚‚¨‚"Ęt believe the purported overheat feature, the flashlight was almost too hot to touch. No more EDC, not in a pocket of anything, maybe using the clip, but for now it has been banished to my car√Ę‚‚¨‚"Ęs arm rest storage. I can keep it charged in there anyway. BUT #2; The magnet in the tail is so weak, it tends to slide down a vertical steel surface. Summary, while this is an amazingly powerful and small flashlight JetBeam√Ę‚‚¨‚"Ęs R&D people really dropped the ball with 2 simple features that badly affect its usefulness... too bad.
SMALL IS BETTER
November 2, 2017
I work in small, dark crawl spaces and basements. There is only so much room to take everything you need. We have to take measurements and pictures to determine work to be done. I used to carry big lights which were necessary but heavy and took up a lot of space. This light gives me more than adequate light and fits any where. My biggest problem is people borrowing it.
ProsSize to light ratio is outstanding
ConsMagnet could be stronger
