Rescued my drill driver
March 18, 2022
I have a Skil 2130 drill driver in my hobby room. It requires three 4/5C nicads. I bought the batteries with tabs. With solder and electrical tape, I bound the batteries together and placed them in the drill driver. Now the drill driver works like new.

Great place to find hard to get batteries

I was afraid I may not be able to replace the rechargeable batteries in a scrubber we bought. But you had exactly the batteries we needed, tabs and all.

Replaced the batteries in a B & D grass shears. The solder tabs made it easy to install the new batteries. We're back to cutting.

Rechargeable c batteries
March 26, 2019
We ordered rechargeable c batteries to use in building battery packs for a pawn shop. They came quickly and we're exactly what we ordered. They only drawback was they were shorter than the ones that came out of items. We fixed this by adding shims. Thank you for a great product and great prices.

Battery Pack Rebuild
August 30, 2015
I cannot give 5 stars as I cannot verify how long these cells will last in service since I just got them installed. I bought them to repair the batteries I have for my two DeWalt 12v drills, each with a charger and two batteries. I have had and used these extensively for about 10 years. The batteries finally failed to hold a charge. I dropped and broke it a while ago. New replacement batteries are almost as much as a whole new drill. I ordered 30 of these 4/5 sub C cells with tabs to rebuild my batteries. The cost for enough cells to rebuild three batteries is less than the cost of one new battery pack. This task is not to be taken lightly; it takes some skill and technique to disassemble and reassemble the new batteries into the correct configuration. It took me about an hour to complete the first battery pack. The 3rd only took 20 minutes. You will need a good soldering iron. I used rosin core solder, but it did not work well on the battery tabs. I found that "ruby fluid" soldering flux works excellently. I cannot say how long these batteries will last as I just completed assembling the batteries today. I am thinking it is a good bet that these cells have not been sitting on the shelf as long as the "new old stock" DeWalt battery packs I would have had to pay 3x as much for.

Worked well
February 17, 2015
I purchased the batteries to rebuild a cordless drill's battery pack. Previously, I had purchased without tabs, with good success. I purchased these with tabs and they worked even better.
ProsEase of soldering. Took solder well without overheating.

I used these batteries to rebuild a skil drill/saws all kit. The rebuild process was time consuming, but satisfying. I will buy from these guys again.

Just what the Dr. Ordered
November 1, 2014
I have an older Ryobi 2.4v rechargeable electric screwdriver that I use almost continuously. It is virtually impossible to replace as no other electric screwdriver I have found has this screwdriver's ideal ratio of bit speed and torque. Unfortunately, the batteries had died and needed to be replaced. Battery Junction had the batteries I needed. More important, they gave the dimensions of their batteries so that I could make sure I ordered the correct battery for my device. After soldering the two batteries together, attaching the original connector tabs to the existing tabs on these batteries and giving them an overnight charge, my beloved screwdriver is working just like it did when brand new. "Would you recommend this [company] to a friend?" - in a heartbeat!
ProsBattery Junction provided the batteries dimensions - this is critical when selecting a battery! I didn't have to order 50,000 at a time to get them (grin!) as they welcome the one-or-two piece orders - also very important as not all vendors will do this. The price was eminently reasonable, especially considering it was a order of only two pieces. They came on time and were carefully packaged. The solder tabs make hooking these batteries up very easy. They fit like a glove and worked like a charm!
ConsI haven't found any yet. . . . :-)

Comment on optional tabs
October 21, 2014
The batteries arrived quickly and were just what I needed. I only wish that the tabs were offset 90 or 180 degrees to make daisy chaining when building a battery pack more convenient. It took some creative bending to get the tabs where I needed them to fit in the battery enclosure.

Replacement Power Drill Batteries
September 24, 2014
I had a 7.2 volt Craftsman power drill that came in a kit of bits, etc. After a year or so, it wouldn't take a charge. I left it that way for several years until I decided to fix it. I ordered 6 new batteries with tabs because I can't weld them like they do at factory. I did solder the tabs to each other in various fashions to make the required voltage and terminals. They took a charge and were done in about one hour. So far so good.
ProsInexpensive method to fix power drill batteries. I spent about $13.00 for a 7.2 volt drill battery.
ConsThe tabs on the batteries were wider than the female terminals in the battery compartment, but diagonal cutters were a quick remedy to make the tabs fit. I soldered them together to make sure they didn't disconnect. The tabs face each other so you have to bend one side over backwards on a couple of batteries to cross over to the next rank of batteries.
