Compact and bright
January 5, 2018
I purchased this to replace the older model MH20 because of the longer throw distance. The form factor, weight, battery compatibility with other Nitecore LEDs in my collection are a useful addition. I like having this on my nightstand. Because of its size, this is a very easy and non-intrusive EDC. The one-button access to all of the modes is convenient. If you carry in the belt hoster, you may want to position the switch so it will tend not to be inadvertently pressed.
ProsGood for storage in a glove compartment or bedside

the nitecore MH20gt spotlight exceeded my expectations! compact enough to fit in pocket although it comes with a holster and clip to wear which both are great as well. Perfect addition to my new job sometimes working outdoors in dark desolate places
Proscompact bolstering plenty of light, multiple modes with a few accessories like the belt clip and holster
ConsThe on/off button not raised enough to easily identify by touch

Great Every Day Carry
February 21, 2017
My new favorite go to flashlight. Puts out plenty of light with a focused beam for long distance but also has 4 levels of lighting so it has flexibility in lumens. It's size is perfect for a glovebox, briefcase, overnight bag or pocket. Is not too small but not too big and plenty of power. Get one, you'll like the size.
ProsRechargable, power/battery indicator, size, lumen power, feels great in the hand
ConsHave to be careful plugging charging cable into flashlight

very bright light and perfect beam.Charging with USB is very convenient, avoids taking battery out. Switch needs practice. The only downside is that it gets hot with about 5 minutes continuous use. Short bursts are OK. All in all, satisfactory flashlight.

Better than the Original
November 25, 2016
I had the original MH20 and loved it. I saw the MH2GT and the updated runtimes and wanted it. I love the better runtimes at the lower outputs. I also like the beam very much. This is a very good everyday carry light. It can be slightly uncomfortable in the pocket due to the size of the head (dependent on the pants you wear) The UI is very easy to use in that and one of my favorites. This light meets every task small or large that I ask of it. It can light a keyhole or a backyard. I highly recommend this light.
ProsCompact Bright Multiple modes Simple UI
ConsCan be a little bulky in the pocket

I am very impressed with the size in-hand and the one side button layout. The XP-L HI V3 is a great update and a near neutral to slight warm, just seen as a slight greenish dot in only the very center of the spot on a white wall. The spot's a tight throw and the spill is a very full filling width in a large circle. Just a nice overall user and a good snug fitting holster. The clip snaps on firmly doesn't slide around on the tube and allows an easy slip into my overalls pockets.
ProsThe two stage button feedback is firm so I don't invision an accidental press-on in pocket. Tail stands. Tight fitting charging rubber cover. A controlled feel in hand, balanced. beautiful ano. Accurate reflector aming and finishing.
ConsSheath is very snug fitting in the head down position, my preferred position to carry as it keeps fingers off the lens. But this is a very minor Con really.

Best Nitecore small flashlight yet!
September 17, 2016
I have 4 Nitecore flashlights and they are all top quality although they use the XML2-U2 emitter they work well but lacked a decent throw. This new MH20GT uses a flat or "de-domed" XPL HI V3 emitter which is somewhat smaller but puts out about the same amount of light as an XML2 but has much more throw and has a more concentrated beam that isn't scattered like other LED lights. I really like the micro USB charging as I charge this in my car from a USB 12volt plug. I have large hands and this light is really small so it fits almost completely concealed when carrying it. I use a Orbtronic (Panasonic) 3400 mAh battery and I get long run times but it does get hot after 3 minutes but with ATR it reduces output to about 800 lumens for the remainder of the battery life, which is about an hour at that level then steps down lower for another 8 minutes before going out. Its even brighter than my old duty light that i used which was an Eagle-Tac G25-C2 Mark ll rated at 1080 lumens and the Nitecore throws out to a longer distance. Awesome for such a small light! What makes the deal even sweeter is that Battery Junction was running a 30% off special and I only paid $69.99!
ProsLong beam distance small size and USB rechargeable
ConsRecharge port should be covered by a metal door not a rubber cover and the switch should be a little higher to provide a faster access in the dark. I keep thinking the recharge port is the ON switch. But I attached the pocket clip on The opposite side of the switch, now i can find it a little better.

Super bright pocket searchlight
September 16, 2016
This is my first "modern" flashlight. All the light modes are useful. The run time is exceptional and it fits easily in my front pocket. I could not be more pleased with my purchase. My only regret is that this is where I started and I don't know where to go from here.
ProsSize, utility, recharging ease and brightness.

Nitecore MH20GT

Nice light
ProsThis light is powerful and compact ---throws a good beam out to 200-300 yds ---pretty compact too, will fit in your pocket, but u can feel it there. The only complaint I have is on/off button on side and not on the end cap(push button type on the tail cap)I have had better luck with tail cap switch ---but I would recommend this light.
ConsThe tail cap not having a switch there.

The mh20gt one of the best yet!!!
May 17, 2016
Absolutely one of the best flashlights I have, extremely bright with a good hot spot & spill, power levels evenly spaced, a voltage indicator, the switch is up front where it should be, a USB port for charging, only 110MM long, it does get a tad warm on extended turbo use, that's to be expected when it's putting out 1000 lumens the size of a salt shaker, also the pocket clip, lanyard & carrying case included. I haven't used it long enough to run the battery down yet, So far it has worked excellent, no problems.
ProsSee above.
ConsIt would be nice if Nitecore would recess or raise the switch a little, it would be easier to find.
