Absolute Junk
November 22, 2017
I love NiteIze products - except this one. I bought this for a camping trip, worked great the first night. Tried to use it the second night and it wouldn't turn on. I thought it was the batteries, so I replaced them... still would not turn on. It appeared the switch was bad, so I contacted NiteIze, returned this one, got another. The second unit has the exact same problem! I know they did not send me my same unit back, so it obviously is a manufacturing problem. I want to love this light...it it perfect for my needs WHEN it works!

Nice little light
October 20, 2016
I gave this light to my son to carry in his car so he would have a light with him. It is brighter than I expected for one AA battery. I also like the red light on the tail cap in case he has to use it on the side of the road for an emergency. Time will tell how well it holds up but for the price it is a good deal.
ProsOne AA battery and bright.
ConsNone so far.

Real useful little light for a cheap price
July 25, 2016
I found these on sale for $5 at a local store and bought one. After testing it out I went back and bought 3 more. They are ALL gone from there now, so a lot of other people must have shared the same assessment of them. The light uses only one AA, has two brightness levels, and the front pulls out to make it a little lantern. The red light in the tail has 3 settings: solid, blink, and SOS. There is a slot for a lanyard to go through or clip to and it also fits in some common holsters (I have mine in a Jet Beam small holster with the rubber frond end up and the switches pointed toward the corner- the only way it fits in this holster and it is a snug fit; would fit more loosely in a slightly larger holster). It is lightweight and carries in a shirt pocket o.k. The run times seem long, as I have left it on lantern for a couple hours and it's still going on the first battery. The beam of this is very nice. It's not a flood (which would make it pretty useless in its power range), and it's not extremely tightly focused either. It is focused enough to reach out about as far as the output is really optimal for. Great light for walking outside on a path, or for keeping beside the bed or anywhere indoors too. It doesn't feel extremely tough, but we'll see. It may surprise me. I like it a lot for the price range. It is worth $10 and I would recommend it at this point.
ProsSmall; Light; Good beam; Useful multi-functions: 2 levels as a flashlight or lantern, 3 levels on the red tail-light; Lanyard slot built in; Popular size will fit some holsters; Nice color assortment; Commonly available power source (AA); Good run times; Good value for the price;
ConsConstruction seems a little fragile (but it hasn't broken yet)

Get what you pay for

In this case, you get a solid little pocket light with two intensities plus lamp function. The beam throw is fairly wide and would perhaps have a longer throw with a more narrow focus. However for a $10 bill it is a solid buy. The red light I have not had the utility for as of yet but imagine map reading or other extremely, and I mean extremely low light situations it may have a usefulness. I may set it outside one night on the blinking function to see how visible it is. But all in all 80 lumens is 80 lumens and as long as you know what to expect light wise the product will not disappoint.
ProsLamp function
ConsWould be nice to be able to focus the beam somewhat

A Small Light with Heavyweight Usability
May 28, 2016
This mini flashlight that can be used for a lot of activities. As a bicycle light, it has a reasonable throw distance. The constant red light function allows me to read maps and other items w/o adversely affecting my night vision. The duo white light levels provide good illumination on dark trails. The lantern mode works well for small-areas. All of this versatility in a pocketable light that uses only one AA battery with relatively long runtimes.
Pros- small size - 1 AA battery - multiple modes - red light
ConsThe lens is plastic and could scratch easily.
