Having lost a one-cell Fenix pocket light, I wanted another pocket light that uses the 123 batteries I carry for lighting purposes. This Streamlight Sidewinder comes loaded with features I have not seen on any light this compact before. I don't expect to use the IR much, but having red, blue, and white lights is good. That all of them have four intensities is good. That all can be put into FLASH mode is good. The belt clip will also work on a pocket or a strap. I think I could make it work on my boonie hat, for all that matter. The price is reasonable and the feature set is very rich. I am glad I have this.

Great task light that covers any conceivable scenario. Functions with CR123, AA and AAA batteries so keeping it running will not be a problem. Home run by Streamlight.

If you hunt or fish it is a must have!

On low setting, the lIght is good for moving around at night and not waking the family. On brighter setting, it is good to illuminate items that I work on. The head band is very useful for hands free work.. Good general purpose light.

Everything need in one package

This light has performed well for me in terms of durability and it's very easy on batteries. It works great when clipped to gear and as a headlight. Don't let the low lumens steer you away; for how it's used, there's plenty of light.
