Great Substitute For Solutions Demanding Long Term Reliable Power Delivery
September 5, 2022
Seems to work well anywhere I've found needing a 9V. Its great that I can rely on these in my smoke alarms and not have to frequently change them for recharge as I currently do with the non Low Self Discharge variety demands. I'm phasing out my existing non LSD batteries with these and haven't encountered any reason to not continue that approach.

If you need a specific size battery then this isn't the battery for you. I cannot evaluate this item because the oversize dimensions did not fit in my appliance or charger. I would recommend requesting size if you need a specific size because size is not in the catalog.

These are keeping our old transistor radio alive.

I like the Low-Self-Discharge nature of these Centura batts. It seems like our old radio is always ready to go now.

Rechargeable 9 volt batteries seem to work better than new alkalines
May 14, 2015
These batteries seem to have more strength initially than alkaline batteries, and that strength seem to last a bit longer, as well. Using these for EMS therapy, I get a very good sense of how strong they are, and they even seem to last longer under load than the alkaline batteries I was using. So far, I'm very happy with my choice to switch to rechargeables.

Work just fine.

Right out of the package the (no load) voltage readings were 8.94V and 8.95V respectively for each of the batteries. Charging up yielded a voltage of 9.72 at the cutoff point. So, the batteries arrived nearly fully charged (I estimate about 85-90%). When placed in my devices (a digital volt meter and a remote control--both low current applications), the operation of each was indiscernible from what I have observed with regular 9V alkaline batteries.
I can appreciate the convenience of these cells in my application because I might have to charge these, possibly once every one to two years-which is really not much of a bother, plus, I've eliminated my dependence on disposable cells. My prior experience with other Tenergy low self-discharge NiMH cells has been excellent with usability periods greatly exceeding that of conventional NiMH batteries.
These are good rechargeables.
ProsQuality brand. Good capacity for a 9V used in a low drain application. Sturdy construction.
ConsNone. These do the job well.
